James Sibony

James Sibony has 25 years of experience in financial services as a CEO, principal investor, asset manager and investment banker at Esparity Solar, Lennox Partners, UBS, Ernst & Young and the Challenger Financial Services Group.

James is a founding shareholder and Chief Executive of Esparity Solar in 2017 which has 600MW of solar projects under development and a pipeline of 2.5GW in Spain expected to reach COD between 2022 and 2026. He is also a founding shareholder of and financial adviser to Australian solar developer ESCO Pacific. ESCO has developed 700MW to COD and was exited to Shell in 2019.

James co-founded Lennox in 2009 and prior to Lennox was a Director of Challenger, investing over A$ 1.5 billion of equity in the UK and European infrastructure markets including significant interests in Southern Water, LBC, Inexus and Welcome Break.

Prior to Challenger, James worked for Ernst & Young in the Energy and Utilities Corporate Finance Team and started his finance career with UBS in the Equity Capital Markets Group.
